MISSION

The mission of the United Jewish Campaign of Cape Town is to ensure the well-being, development and sustainability of the Cape Town Jewish community and communities in Israel.

To this end, the Campaign works tirelessly to garner the resources required by Cape Town's Jewish organisations so that they are able to focus on fulfilling their respective missions, which range from caring for those in need to strengthening Jewish identity.  Funds raised through the campaign are also allocated to the Jewish Agency of Israel so as to support the important work the Agency does to nurture sustainable communities in Israel.

The Campaign fulfills its mandate by canvassing the support of Jewish individuals, trusts, foundations and businesses. Every member of the community is called upon to contribute in accordance with his/ her means. It is because of the generosity and vision of the Campaign's contributors that Cape Town is a strong, vibrant and caring Jewish community.

COMPOSITION

The United Jewish Campaign is the umbrella organization that encompasses

• Israel United Appeal
• Funding for Keren HaYesod/Jewish Agency for Israel, which aids in immigrant absorption, aliyah, Israel/Diaspora relations and more.
  
• United Communal Fund
• The United Communal Fund provides support for organisations that strengthen Jewish identity, education and communal infrastructure locally.
  Jewish Care Cape
• Welfare organisations for all stages of life and levels of need are organised under Jewish Care Cape.

When combined under the United Jewish Campaign, the organizations that form these three arms create a caring and vibrant Jewish community in Cape Town and beyond.
