Jewish tradition has always emphasized respect for the elderly and UJC believes strongly in this value. Today, more than ever before, we -the Jewish community- have a responsibility to take care of our elders. We’re living longer but more often not near family. Consequently, there are more older adults now in Cape Town who need your support.
When you donate to the UJC, your rands enable the elders of our community to live with dignity and independence, where possible. By providing housing or food, medical care or social activities, the organisations you support through your donation to UJC betters the lives of these members of community from whom we still have so much to learn.
